So I'm about to get married in a couple of months, and I finally got some time to myself to start planning that really fun part of a wedding that all brides look forward to: the bachelorette party!
I know that my maid of honor is responsible for planning out the details of the bachelorette party, but I can't help but hope that she takes my little "hints" for my perfect bachelorette party and puts them into good use! I don't want anything too crazy – no weekends in Vegas for me, thanks! Yet I do want to spend plenty of time with my best girlfriends sipping champagne and talking about what it's going to be like to be married.
The Venue
I think my perfect bachelorette party definitely involves a weekend at the spa. I mean, just think about it: getting pampered in luxurious surroundings with my best girlfriends! And of course, not just any spa will do; I want my bachelorette party to take place somewhere in the desert or in the Caribbean, where some of the best spas in the world are located. I'd get up early, do some yoga classes with my maid of honor, and then get ready for a day of pampering and gossiping with my ladies as we get massages, facials and all other sorts of treatment! Then we'd spend the afternoon pool side with drinks in hand as we work on our fabulous tans for the wedding – wearing sunscreen to protect our skin, of course.
Out on the Town
Of course, I'd want to be located near a fun town or city so the bachelorette party can have a fun night out on the town! And most importantly, I really want to wear clothes that make us stand out – I don't want us to fade into the background by wearing regular clothes! I told my maid of honor that she should get us all bachelorette party T-shirts, as they're so cute. She ordered the entire bridal party T-shirts that were embellished with genuine Premium crystal rhinestones, and I can't wait to see how the T-shirts came out! I even secretly ordered myself an rhinestone-embellished tracksuit to wear when I'm getting my makeup down on the big day – after all, a bride has to treat herself every once in awhile!
Topping it Off
Once we're all decked out in our finest, I really want to go to a city hot spot and just dance the night away with my bridal party. After our night of dancing is done, we'll take our tired feet back to the hotel spa and spend the rest of the weekend treating our sore feet to luxurious pedicures!
So that, in a nutshell, is my perfect bachelorette party – actually, I should probably call it a bachelorette weekend! Now if only I could convince my future hubby that he should have a similarly laid-back and tame bachelor party…
